Playing in Ludoteka

Disconnections offline missing

It may happen that one of the participants in the game ignores the game or even disconnects voluntarily or involuntarily from it. These unwanted cases must be managed in such a way that the players who remain in the game are minimally harmed. But at the same time, a balance must be reached to open the possibility for the absent player to return to the game. Therefore, minimum courtesy and sportsmanship require granting a time during which they can rejoin.

Games are not interrupted when someone disconnects or neglects the game. In these cases, the actions of the absent player are decided by a bot (which usually is a bad player).

If you are the one who loses the connection while in a game, do not close the window and stay in the game. When you regain the connection, you will see that it is reactivated and the game continues.

If you accidentally exit the game, return to Ludoteka and the system will automatically offer you reenter the game.

Starting a game involves making a commitment to the other participants. Therefore, the system can make decisions that affect the player who is not paying attention to the game:

  • If the absence is prolonged, the player will lose the game or will be eliminated, unless (by the nature of the game) their participation is required.
  • If the game eventually ends with a victory for the absent player, the system may cancel the result of the game.
  • The score of a player who voluntarily leaves the game will be additionally penalized. If this behavior is repeated, the system will give him less time to return to the games and may deduct a greater number of points.
